The other Spring beauty, a bit more rare in Ontario than C. virginica. It differs from C. virginica mainly by having wider leaves (up to 2.4 cm). Flowers in racemes; white, pale to deep pink with pink veins. It will go dormant in late summer as well.
Germination: best if sown fresh or if the seeds are stored moist, throughout the season until late fall (requires a warm-cold cycle). Very easy.
