Description
I previously offered this as Cortusa but it’s time to go with the accepted taxonomy. Various subspecies of the formerly Cortusa can differ in regards to the leaf shapes and pubescence but overall they have the same look: nice kidney-shape, +/- pubescent toothed leaves, worth growing just for the foliage; it gets even better – inflorescences with purple/violet (rarely white), bell-shaped flowers on long stems in late spring/summer.
The seeds offered originate from Sakhalin Island (Cortusa matthioli ssp. sachalinensis).

The image with the flowering plant was taken in Carpathians Mts.
Germination: sow in late fall/winter (cold/moist stratification).
