Great evergreen perennial, especially for cold regions, where the blue-green succulent-like foliage remains ornamental into the cold season, actually until it gets covered by snow.
Easy in any sunny, well drained location. It combines beautifully with other species requiring the same location, like Delosperma, sedum, sempervivum and so on and provides a beautiful background for the spring Crocus and snowdrops. I love it.
It will reseed but the off-springs are easy to remove if not desired; as well the flower heads can be removed to avoid the seeds.
Germination: best sown in the fall.
