This is a low growing, trailing rockrose, with yellow flowers a bit smaller than those of Helianthemun nummularium. The whole plant is covered in soft hairs, thus being even more drought resistant than other rockroses – if that’s possible…A tough one from the Carpathian Mts.
Great for the sunny rockery, screes and xeriscape gardens. It flowers profusely over a long period in the summer. All Helianthemum species are good providers of nectar for bees and also food plants for a few moths and butterflies.
Germination: not difficult but said to be a slow germinator.
