Seeds collected from a beautiful specimen with white flowers which have a nice pink overlay and are scented! The light fragrance reminds of Viola odorata.
Hepatica acutiloba will grow better having a bit more moisture than H. americana. It also forms clumps a bit more vigurous, especially the white-flowered forms. Beautiful as a specimen or grouped around mature trees.
Germination: best if sown fresh or kept moist and allowed a warm-cold cycle for germination. Seeds are placed in moist vermiculite right after collecting.
