Houstonia is a fine textured, delicate plant with lots of white flowers/pink reverse, atop slender stems from June to August. It grows from a basal rosette, which persist after flowering.
It is a species that adapts well to the growing conditions in a rock garden. The lack of cultivation is due probably to the unavailability of seeds/plants.
Germination: sown in the fall (cold/moist stratification).
