A tufted, mat-forming species for the shady side of the rockery and stone walls. The very fine, procumbent stems and leaves have a mossy resemblance. White, delicate flowers in small clusters appear in June-July.
Very rare in cultivation, it is the perfect small, fine textured plant for a shady, moist corner in the rockery, crevices or trough.
Germination: sow in the fall (cold/moist stratification 2-3 months); easy.
