An endemic Oxytropis from the Hokkaido Isl. of Japan. Not difficult in cultivation, it only needs a good drained location. Grey-green, hairy foliage and purple flowers in long inflorescences.

Dislikes transplanting like many other from its family; sowing in place is an option or transplant the young seedlings in the final, desired place. It may self-seed in place after it gets established.
Germination: warm germinator; soaking/scarification will help.
