Thanks to a generous donor I can offer few seeds of this very interesting and not often cultivated Podophyllum species (Sect. Paradysosma). It combines the leaf shape of P. pleianthum group with the flower characters of P. hexandrum. The white flowers, or tinged with pink appear before the leaves expand and are followed by a red fruit (like P. hexandrum). Mature plants will have 2-3 leaves, 25-30 cm in diameter.
A collector’s plant, and most likely not fully hardy in zone 6; it would require containerized culture with winter protection.
Germination: best when seeds are sown fresh (fall) or in the spring after a period of cold-moist stratification (3 months).
