A tall, statuesque meadow rue species with fluffy yellow flowers (stamens) and blue-grey foliage. It is great as a background for foliage colour contrast with yellow, variegated species.
It may need staking depending on how much moisture it gets or you can gently cut it back a bit after flowering.
Germination: fresh seeds are said to germinate in 3-4 weeks; if they are not germinating immediately, use cold-moist stratification for at least 1 month. I used successfully GA3 for sowing/germinating most Thalictrum spp. in early spring (February-March).
