Description
These seeds were offered briefly as A. fendstenkoi but after careful revision of the capsules we have to change the offering A. maxima. With wild collected seeds when only few parts of the plants remain visible by the seeds collecting time, it is often possible to mistake similar species growing in the same area.
This is also an annual little Androsace with a basal rosette and flower stems with white or pink flowers with very large calyces. The French common name: ‘Androsace à grand calice’ explains better the epithet maxima. The whole plant may turn reddish in the fall.

Germination: just by inferring from other Androsace species I would say – moist/cold stratification; sow in late fall/winter.
