Description
A beautiful, under-used perennial with narrow leaves in a tidy clump and an abundance of pure white flowers on branched stems starting in July.
The featured image shows it growing in a rocky meadow in the Carpathian Mts. with the company of Jurinea mollis, Salvia pratensis, Dianthus tenuifolius, Scabiosa ochroleuca, Stachys recta and many others. Other good garden companions are various Delphinium (grandiflorum, fissum), Lilium martagon, Dictamnus albus…
Germination: best sown in the fall or toward the spring but requires 2-3 months of cold-moist stratification. Easy to grow from seeds, it starts flowering in the third year.
