Description
Astrantia major is a common summer sight among the mountain meadows floral associations.
The flower color can vary from whitish/pink to deepest red shades even in the wild (featured picture was taken in the wild). Growing from seeds of course will bring variations in the flower colors, height. Grow a few seedlings and keep the desired ones.
Easy to grow and accommodate in the garden and great for pollinators, it is understandable why Astrantia are much loved garden plants.
Germination: sow in late fall (cold/moist stratification).
