Description
The knotsheat sedge forms evergreen clumps, growing from very short rhizomes. The flower spikes are clustered together on short-stalks.
It is very similar with Carex lupulina and C. lupuliformis, with which is said to form hybrids.
Nice sedge for a variety of situations; it grows well in regular garden beds, including in part-shaded locations.
Germination: sow in late fall (cold/moist stratification).
