Description
This is a herbaceous climbing or trailing Clematis with large purplish/violet flowers in the spring (May usually); silvery, round hairy fruit heads.

The seeds offered are from the specimen featured here; trailing habit, up to 1.5 m; perfect to grow over a small shrub/ large perennial/small trellis, or trailing over a rocky wall/boulder.
Germination: sow in late fall/winter (cold/moist); even if it is a warm germinator (I don’t know) it will germinate in the spring.
