Description
For a late summer stand-out in the flower bed just add a Crocosmia; fiery scarlet flowers on long ‘spikes’ are also an attraction for the pollinators; beautiful sword-like leaves. It will form a large clump over the years.
Also suitable for container growing.
Most people grow it by planting corms in the garden but it is actually very easy to grow it from seeds.
Said to be not very reliable in zones 5-6 but these seeds are from a very hardy specimen and they should also give super hardy seedlings. I actually found a few self-sown seedlings this year.
Germination: warm germinator.
