Description
A superb NA larkspur with large, abundant and dark blue flowers and leaves with fine, fingerlike lobes.
A drought resistant species and by growing it from seeds we should be able to obtain a more cold resistant form.

Germination: there is no reliable data, so by extrapolation from D. nuttalianum (with which it can hybridize) – 3-4 months of cold/moist stratification, ie. sow in late fall, otherwise it will require 2 years (2 winters) to germinate.
Update: seeds sown in late fall are starting to germinate in April, so indeed cold/moist stratification of 3 months.
