Description
The wandering fleabane, or daisy is a very showy alpine and subalpine wildflower with light purple flowers – ray florets and bright yellow disk florets. It looks great in the company of other yellow and red wildflowers and it can be incorporated as such in a perennial bed or a wildflower meadow.
Greatly enjoyed by pollinators, the wandering daisy can vary in size, often depending on the micro-habitat it grows.
The seeds offered were collected from plants +/- 50 cm, growing in sun to part-shade; definitely not a plant for a rockery.
Germination: said to germinate at room temperature; so, it can be started indoors in early spring or outdoors in late spring; the seeds are very small and require superficial sowing.
