Description
Formerly Mimulus, but still with the same common name, Erythranthe lewisii is a showy perennial plant with large, pink-rose with yellow markings flowers in loose inflorescences.
An inhabitant of moist places in montane to sub-alpine zones in the garden will also require a partially moist location in order to thrive. If it is as easy to grow as E. guttata I cannot wait to have it in the garden!
Germination: sources indicate germination at room temperature (warm germinator) same as E. gutatta. The seeds being very small require light for germination therefore sow superficial.
