Description
A great evergreen perennial plant, especially for cold regions, where the blue-green succulent-like foliage remains ornamental into the cold season, actually until it gets covered by snow.
Easy in any sunny, well drained location. It combines beautifully with other species requiring the same location, like Delosperma, Sedum, sempervivums and so on…It looks great at the rockery edges all year long (and rabbit proof!).
It will reseed but the off-springs are easy to remove if not desired; as well the flower heads can be removed to avoid the reseeding
Germination: best sown in the fall. Self sown seedlings appear here and there during the season, so it may actually require a slightly warm period before sowing, followed by a cold one.
