Description
A rarely cultivated, cold hardy Fritillaria with broadly campanulate flowers, brownish-greenish also mottled dark purple inside; leaves in a single whorl and multi-scaled bulbs.
A collector’s Frit for a cool, moist location (see the growing conditions).

Germination: according to the Frits experts the best time to sow Fritillaria sp. is in the fall: Aug-mid Sept. to mid October. Seeds received later are better kept in the fridge and sowed in next fall or can be stratified in moist vermiculite in the fridge 2-3 months; it works well.
