Description
I named this specimen #1 a few years ago and so it remained its name. Still one of my favorite form, violet/blue flowers with a white picotee; vigurous and reliable flowering every year, although repeated drought over the past years is starting to have an effect on the wild growing plants.
Seeds from this form germinate in the first spring after sowing here, but who knows, it also depends on the climate/temperatures of a particular region.
Germination:
Hepatica seeds may all germinate in the first spring after sowing; or they may germinate after one more year, or a combination of both. It is necessary to take care of the pots during all this time! The first flowering: after 3-4 years.
