Description
This Hepatica americana is offered under the name Preciosa strain, because there are a few multipetal specimens which are very similar, only that the flowers color can vary a bit: some with more lavender or more whitish flowers (but not completely white).
From a batch of seedlings you will for sure obtain at least a few resembling this strain. I noticed over the years that what happens in the woods, it happens in cultivation as well when it comes to the variability from seeds growing.
Germination:
Hepatica seeds may all germinate in the first spring after sowing; or they may germinate after one more year, or a combination of both. It is necessary to take care of the pots during all this time! The first flowering: after 3-4 years.
