Description
Seeds collected from Hepatica nobilis specimens with marbled, shiny leaves and blue flowers. They are a bit too large to be called H. nobilis var. pyrenaica, which is a more compact form (which didn’t set enough seeds this year).
The flowers are a deeper blue than var. pyrenaica.
The marbled foliage is a nice addition to the flowers for any Hepatica species and they are easy going.
Germination: this is an easy to germinate and grow Hepatica species; instructions will be provided with the seeds.
In general, Hepatica seeds may all germinate in the first spring after sowing; or they may germinate after one more year, or a combination of both. It is necessary to take care of the pots during all this time! The first flowering: after 3-4 years.
