Description
Hypericum olympicum is a sub-shrub forming a mound of procumbent stems with fine grey-green leaves which remain almost evergreen over the winter.
It flowers over a long period of time in the summer with deep yellow, multi-staminate flowers. A delicious, bright and easy plant for a sunny rockery, trough or on top of a rock wall. Very adaptable, it only needs good drainage.
Germination: doesn’t need any extra treatments, sow, place at 20-21˚C and wait…the seedlings are very fine and a bit hard to handle; my method is to pinch such very young seedlings to stimulate early branching.
