Description
Scarlet gillia it is as the name implies, a striking plant, with deeply pinnate leaves with narrow segments and elongated stems bearing red, orange, pink or white flowers.
The flowers with elongated floral tubes are greatly enjoyed by hummingbirds and other long-tongue pollinators.
It can grow in a variety of situations, and usually adapts well in the garden. Biennial or short lived perennial, new self- sown seedlings should be allowed to perpetuate.
Germination: after 1-2 months of cold/moist stratification.
