Description
Hairy honeysuckle is very similar in look with Lonicera dioica (Limber honeysuckle). Appreciated by the woodland pollinators, it has a trailing (more often) or climbing habit, except that the stems and leaves are covered in soft hairs and the flowers are yellow; the fruits are red just like those of L. dioica.
Hybrids between the 2 species, where the habitats overlap, are possible.
Germination: cold/moist stratification; sow in late fall/early winter.
