Description
A striking Cardamine relative on steroids with long flowering spikes from a clump of large leaves. It grows from a thick rhizome; a high altitude species usually in snowmelt areas.
The featured image is from a Curtis Botanical Magazine vol. 67 (available on-line for everyone); you will surely be more impress by looking at ‘live’ images: Macropodium nivale
Germination: almost all species I’ve grown from this family have germinated at room temp. I would try it first at 15-20C and if it doesn’t germinate in 2-3 weeks, switch the pot to a cold place.
