Description
A Grass-of-Parnassus with kidney shape leaves like the common name implies, and white flowers with green veins in late summer/fall.
For moist locations in sandy to loamy acidic soils.
A good plant for late season flowering along the pond edges, streams or any slightly moist area of the garden.
Germination: sow in late fall/early winter (cold/moist stratification). The seeds are very fine and require light for germination, sow superficial. The seedlings will grow very slow in the first season. Direct sowing is also possible in a suitable location (boggy area, container).
