Description
Parnassia glauca has larger leaves and flowers than P. palustris (plus few other flower details); otherwise they are very similar and grow in the same habitat. It also flowers later.
A very good plant for late season flowering along the pond edges, streams or any slightly moist area of the garden. Think to combine it with Gentianopsis virgata, Triantha glutinosa, Castilleja coccinea, Iris versicolor, Lobelia cardinalis, with which it is found often growing together in the wild.
Germination: sow in the fall/early winter; the seeds are fine and must be sown superficial (cold/moist stratification required).
