Description
If you want an easy to grow from seeds plant with blue flowers that will flower fast, Jacob’s Ladder is your species.
Described as having a ‘ferny’ looking foliage, what I like about the Jacob’s Ladder, despite the blue flowers enjoyed by pollinators, is that it remains in a tight clump, as oppose with those species that try to take over the garden bed.
In some years it doesn’t come back in the spring, although it should be fully hardy, but being so easy from seeds, it doesn’t matter much because there are always seeds.
Germination: warm germinator; if started indoors in very early spring, it usually flowers by late summer.
