Description
A trailing Rubus with stems along the ground that can roots at the tips. It is usually found growing in wet places but also present in drier sites. Very similar with R. flagellaris from which it differs by few details.
The deep green leaves are evergreen and the white flowers are followed by black shiny fruits.
The fruits are not sweet but I found them delicious (certainly not sour) and they are produced in great quantity.
Germination: sow the seeds when you get them and be patient, like with most Rubus species it may take longer than 1 year to germinate. To improve the germination try to scarify the pyrenes before the cold/moist stratification.
