Description
With leathery, kidney shape leaves and fringes bluish flowers in the spring, Soldanella hungarica, growing wild on the woodland floor of Fagus sylvatica forests in the Carpathian Mts., is among the loveliest plants one can grow.
For a rather humid, shaded location in the rockery or the woodland garden.
Germination: sow in late fall/early winter (cold-moist stratification).
