Description
Swertia perennis is a species favoring of moist places with a large distribution but sadly not as abundant as it used to be, mainly due to loss of habitats.
Blue star-like, interesting flowers in late summer/fall make it a valuable addition in the garden. Not very easy to grow and require patience but so rewarding to have it flowering in cultivation!
Germination: sown in late fall; cold/moist stratification. The seedlings are not fast growing; grow in the seedlings pot for 2 years, and transplant in the ground after the third year.
