Description
A beautiful and useful shrub for those with enough space in their garden: white flowers in flat inflorescences are followed by shiny blue/black fruits enjoyed by birds, wildlife and not only. The fruits make for a delicious jam.
Usually found on rather moist locations, but it can grow in most regular garden conditions as a multi-stem large shrub or with a trunk; the dark green foliage turns attractive red/purple in the fall.
Germination: like for other Viburnums; a warm/moist stratification period is required before a cold/moist one (germination in the second year after sowing in late fall/winter).
