The season of ten thousand flowers
The season of ten thousand flowers has surely begun! More to follow…
Ten thousand flowers in spring, the moon in autumn,
a cool breeze in summer, snow in winter.
If your mind isn’t clouded by unnecessary things,
this is the best season of your life.
– Wumen
That is a spectacular photo!! I also took some Hepatica photos yesterday. I so love them.
Lovely quotation! Could you please give reference information on it; thank you.
Thanks Amy. Who can resist them? :)
It is a poem written by a Chinese monk by the name Wumen, sometimes written as Wu Men (Hui-k’ai). You can find books on Amazon, at least one called – The Enlightened Heart: An Anthology of Sacred Poetry (St. Mitchell translation).
Beautiful photo–great light!
Thank you; let’s not count the many others that went into the trash bin :)
thank you :-)
You’re most welcome :)
