Description
An extremely hardy, sub-alpine columbine with deep blue flowers, sometimes tinged with violet, mistakenly given by some as having almost black flowers – it makes you wonder….
Like many other columbines it adapts well to garden conditions, but would keep best its character if grown on the lean side in the rock/scree garden.
Germination: easy, sown in the fall or spring, very superficial – seeds require light for germination. You can speed the process by using GA3.
