Description
A graceful goldenrod with clusters of small bright yellow flowers along arching stems, from late summer into fall.
It grows well in shaded areas on dry soils. The other common name, blue-stem goldenrod, alludes to the fact that the mature stems have a bluish tinge.
It will self-seed in ideal conditions, like many other goldenrods, but it is a clump forming species.
Germination: sow in late fall/winter (cold-moist stratification); very small seeds – sow superficial.
