Description
A mat forming Androsace with fuzzy, little gray-green rosettes covered in a mass of white flowers in the spring. The flowers develop the specific ‘pink eye’ after pollination.
The winter rosettes also have a very nice look when not sitting under snow (which is preferable).
The mother-plant was raised from wild coll. seeds in the Crimean Mts. A very nice and not often cultivated Androsace for a sunny, well drained location; in the rockery or a trough.
Germination: sow the seeds in late fall or provide 2 months of cold/moist stratification before bringing the pot in a warmer location (for those who want to start it under indoor lights) or let them germinate naturally in the spring outdoors.
