Description
Antennaria lanata is a pussytoes species that grows at higher elevations, in alpine, rocky meadows and rock ledges in moist but well drained locations in full sun.
It can be recognized after the erect, narrow and oblanceolate, silvery tomentose leaves and white flower heads. Considering its wild companions as seen in the pictures: Luetkea and Cassiope, we can safely assume that it also require an acidic substrate.
I will still try it but this species may be difficult to grow by those living in hot/dry areas Better try another species: Antennaria cf. rosea.
Germination: I suppose it needs a cold/moist stratification period, like other Antennaria species. In any case if there is no germination info for a certain species it is best to provide a period of cold/moist stratification. The seeds are very small so they have to be sown superficial.
