Description
A most delightful Arisaema (like all of them, really); differs from the A. ciliatum by not having cilia on the margins mouth and forming stolons from the tubers.
The purple flower with greenish-cream striped hood will show up almost at the same time with the multi-leaflets radiated leaf peaking curious at you. Don’t be afraid, they are friendly!
Easy to grow and long lived in the garden.
Germination: try it as a warm germinator first, if it doesn’t germinate move it at cold for a few weeks. In the first season, the seedlings will have a short growing period and then will go dormant; avoid overwatering the pot when dormant.
Leave the little tubers to grow in the sowing pot for at least 2-3 years. Afterwards you can transplant in a bigger pot or better just plant them in the garden.
