Description
Most often called Kalimeris, this Aster species has an impressive drought resistance (my garden assessment) so I deemed it worth of seeds collecting this year.
Other qualities include: a long and abundant flowering period in July-August, the pale bluish flowers are attracting the pollinators and, not the least important the compact habit.
It combines very well with other more ‘vivid’ colored plants, like shown in the picture with a Dahlia or various Liliums.
Germination: said to be a warm germinator (room temperature). The seeds are very small, cover them lightly with a thin layer of sowing mix.
