Description
Harvest Brodiaea puts up a splendid show when in flower with its blue purple/violet flowers, usually arising among grasses. The linear foliage dries up when the blooming starts, usually in May.
After blooming for quite a long period and setting seeds they go dormant and require dryness. You can try and grow it together with Calochortus.
A good plant for rock and scree gardens or any location with very good drainage; even in containers with other drought loving plants.
The corms are edible and were used as food by Indigenous People.
Germination: warm germinator.
