Description
A perennial plant with a most striking color: the upward facing, cup shaped magenta flowers always stand out in the flower border in July (the stamens and style are presented in the typical column of the mallow family).
The whole plant has a slender look, with thin stems and finely palmate leaves; it looks good when grown among other perennials or ornamental grasses.
Germination: sow in late fall/winter (cold/moist stratification); for the seeds purchased later in the winter: treat them with hot water and then stratify/moist at cold for 2-3 months.
