Description
A very conspicuous and beautiful native sedge with broad, green-bluish ribbed leaves. It brings a very nice texture to the garden and it seems to tolerate a good amount of sun; a part-shaded position is also good. The leaves can be evergreen or semi-evergreen depending on the climate. Also very showy when it flowers in early spring.
In my garden it also tolerates some dryness (but it will not grow as luxuriant as when it has more moisture). Last year I didn’t collect the fruits and I found few self-sown seedlings :)
Germination: sow in late fall/early winter (cold/moist stratification).
