Description
Clematis viorna is an extremely variable species in nature and the same goes for garden cultivated specimens. Hybridisation is often happening for Clematis, both in the garden and in the wild.
A very handsome species with lots of bell shaped purple flowers over a long period in the summer to early fall. The seed heads mature late into October.
Germination: probably best when sown in late fall/early winter outdoors or any time after a cold/moist stratification period in the fridge.
