Description
A delicate but very tough Corydalis, emerging in early spring with bluish foliage and pinkish-lilac spurred flowers with a dark spot.
A great spring ephemeral, just like Corydalis solida; it goes dormant as soon as the seeds are set and the weather begins to warm up. It is usually the first Corydalis species to emerge in early spring, or on the same time with Corydalis malkensis.
Germination and growing of the seedlings: all explained in detail here – Growing Corydalis solida and allies from seeds
This species usually starts flowering very fast from seeds; a good beginners Corydalis to start from seeds.
It can also be sown directly in the garden (incorporate the seeds into the ground, best close to a perennial/fern, or anywhere else you know no new plantings will be done to disturb the seedlings).
