Dianthus haematocalyx ssp. pindicola

Description

A great, dwarf Dianthus for the rockery with grey-green, linear, sharp pointed leaves. Deep pink flowers on branching stems with ornamental reddish calyces.

Very cheerful little Dianthus, that is easy to grow in a well drained, full sun location; plus, long lived apparently.

Germination: with a short cold/moist stratification (2-3 weeks), followed by room temperature. Sow in very early spring outdoors or stratify the seeds in the fridge and start them indoors under lights.
