Description
The Common boneset is a Joe- Pye-weed smaller in size than Eupatorium maculatum, with opposite leaves, surrounding the stems and small, fluffy white flowers heads in flat clusters; they are nicely fragrant.
It flowers in late summer attracting countless pollinators: butterflies, solitary wasps, bumble bees and many others!
It enjoys a relatively moist location and will also tolerate with part-shade.
It was used as a folk medicine (especially for fevers, colds…).
Germination: cold-moist stratification; the seeds are very small and need to be sown superficial.
