Description
I always wonder why the members of the Hedysarum genus although highly ornamental are rarely seen in the gardens. Maybe because no one shows how beautiful they are at flowering time.
In this case, the flowering stems are covered in slightly pendulous racemes of white-creamy flowers in late spring (see few last flowers in the featured image ).
Germination: sow in late fall; cold/moist stratification.
Update: by simply sowing in the fall I got low germination in the spring, so I strongly recommend scarification or hot water treatment. The first seedlings appeared after few days after a hot water treatment.
The seeds will germinate slowly if no scarification was applied; keep your pot for few years.
